Map: Woodhill Forest - Hucks Avenue (forest entry via Rimmer Road). Mature plantation forest on sand dunes with areas of complex contours.

Driving Instructions:
The event will be signposted with orange/white orienteering signs from the Rimmer Rd turnoff from SH16.
From Auckland, follow SH16 along the North Western motorway and on through Kumeu and Waimauku to Rimmer Road, 19 km north of Kumeu. Turn left into Rimmer Road (sealed road) and travel 4 km to the forest entrance on the left. Turn into the forest and travel a further 4.1 km along Rimmer Road (metal road) and onto Inland Road. Parking is approximately 9 km further along Inland Road. The condition of the gravel roads is ok, some ruts and potholes. Please drive with caution, lights on.
As you drive along Inland Road there is a forest gate with a security person, please identify yourself as an orienteer. You will also cross through a motorbike park, where there are two places where their track crosses the road. Be prepared to stop while bikes cross.
Do not leave the sign posted drive-in route. We only have forest access permission for the area of the orienteering map.
Start times 10am to noon. Course closure 2pm. Bring your own water and refreshments.
