Forest Series # 3  Waiuku Forest South  (Host club CMOC)

Waiuku Forest South map. Access off the end of Ghezzie Road, by the NZ Steel mine site entrance.

Select from a range of 9 courses of varying length and difficulty. Suitable for all ages, levels, and beginners. Some children may need to be accompanied by adult.

You may start any time between 10am to 12:00pm. Courses close: 2:00pm . Please plan and ensure you return to the finish by course closure time.

Courses

White       Very easy
Yellow      Easy
Orange Short    Moderate
Orange Long     Moderate
Red 1,2,3,4   Technical courses for more experienced orienteers
Purple      Technical  but less physically challenging course aimed at older orienteers

• Orienteering - on Foot - you choose your pace. Usually as individuals but groups can go together.
  All welcome (and you don't need to be a member to get started)
• You may start any time between 10am to 12:00 pm (noon). If you would like do do more than one course - please ensure you restart before 12:00pm
• Courses close: 2:00pm unless otherwise stated. Please plan and ensure you return to the finish by course closure time.
• We recommend full body cover ( long socks or gaiters etc for protection against cutty grass.

• Since COVID-19 we are using PRE-ENTRY via EnterO  (see home page for link in the week before the event)
• Standard entry fees close 11.59pm TUESDAY 5th September - see EnterO/ Late fee (extra $5 pp)
• SPORTident hire $3 each.
