Whangarei Orienteering club are pleased to announce our first event post covid 19 lockdown. Great news NZ we will be at level 1 for this event, no restrictions but please pre enter below. This event will use the sport ident electronic timing.

When: Sunday 21st June - Start anytime btwn: 10.00 - 11.30am.  Course closure 2pm

1 Red long 6.1km
2 Red medium 4.6km
3 Red short. 2.9km
4 Orange long 4.0km
5 Orange short 2.7km
6 Yellow 2.9km

Farm fences are not shown on Courses 1 2 and 3

Usual farm hazards apply take care on fences. Cross gates at hinge side. Leave gates as you find them …open or shut. Electric fences will probably be off

If you are new to orienteering please feel free to ask for help to anybody at the caravan

Driving instructions
From south. Just north of Kamo on Kamo road, turn left into Pipiwai Road. Travel for 6.5km then turn right into Matarau Road. After 6.2km turn left into Lovell Road, a gravel road take care. After 1.8 km the event centre is on the right.

From north turn right into Pipiwai Road and follow same directions.

For those who know Whangarei well you can get to Pipwai Road via Three Mile Bush road in Kamo township then Dip Road.

Parking on the farm track adjacent to the event centre and if numbers are large on the road side

Junior: $7.00
Sport ident card hire + $3.00 (if running in a group only 1 needed)
