News & Updates

In the week leading up to each rogaine, this page will be updated with information about the coming weekend's event. Everyone who has pre-entered will also receive an email with event details.

  • Follow Old North Road towards Riverhead Forest for 7.6km and turn Right into Ararimu Valley Road, which is followed for 4.7 km to the turn-off into Barlow Road.

Parking

  • Parking for those who arrive first is near the Event Centre on a grassed area. Later arrivals will be parked on Barlow Rd, up to approx. 800m from the Event Centre. Please follow the directions of our volunteer parking marshals.

Event Timing

9:00am Registration opens.
All participants must report to registration, including those who have pre-entered via enterO.
10:30am Maps out (30 minutes are allowed for planning).
11:00am Mass start.
12:30pm Event finish time.
Penalty points (20 points per minute or part minute) are deducted from your score for a return after 12:30pm.
~1:00pm Prizegiving with prizes for all grade winners, as well as heaps of spot prizes thanks to our series sponsor Bivouac Outdoor and our new sponsor Graze.

We recommend you plan to arrive at the event centre by 9.45am at the latest, to allow 45 minutes before the start time to register and make full use of your 30 minutes of planning time.

Coaching

If you would like some coaching from one of our team of experienced orienteers before you start, allow time for this too. Coaching is available between 9:30am and 10:30am. It needs to stop at 10:30am so the coaches have time to plan their own rogaine.

Bivouac Outdoor

We are very appreciative of Bivouac Outdoor's ongoing support of our Rogaine series. Collect one of their discount cards when you register!

Dogs

Friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome. No need to register them!

Water

Please bring your own water to drink before and after the event. We will not be providing water. We suggest you also bring a snack to enjoy while you wait for the prizegiving.

Your Health

As is the norm for now, please stay home if you're unwell with any symptoms of cold, flu or other.
