Auckland Orienteering Series event
Host Club: Auckland (AOC) Map: Grass Track Road, Muriwai.Turn right along Coast Rd at the firestation and travel to the forest gate. Tarseal until the last 1km, for parking and event centre. Grass Track Road was mapped in 2021 and has been used only once, for the Auckland Secondary School Champs. In another life with a different generation of trees, it was the very well used Muriwai map. The terrain varies from flat to very steep (with some wonderful views) with a mix of fast open forest through to dark green, with a maze of tracks over much of it.
