Orienteering in Woodhill Forest - an area with awesome intricate sand dune terrain in an open pine forest.  

Parking will be at Leighton's Farm with entry from Wilson Road, South Head.  NOTE: To take advantage of some of Woodhill's excellent terrain, there is an easy, flattish, 2 km walk to the Event Centre from the parking at Leighton's Farm.  Please allow plenty of time for this.  BYO bike as an option to avoid the walk!  We will provide limited shuttle services for those for whom the 2km walk is a step too far.  If you would like a ride, please aim to be at the parking area by 11am.  We will start the shuttle about 9.45am 

Leighton's Farm is a working farm so NO dogs please.

Toilets will be available at the parking area and at the Event Centre.  

Start times between 10.00am and 12.00 noon.
Course closure 2.00pm

The red courses offer more challenging, technical orienteering.  White/ Yellow and Orange courses make greater use of tracks  and easier terrain.

• Orienteering-on Foot - you choose your pace. Usually as individuals but groups can go together.
  All welcome (you don't need to be a member to get started)
• Select from a range of 7 courses of varying length and difficulty. Suitable for all ages, levels, and beginners. Some children need to be accompanied by adult.
• You may start any time between 10am to 12:00 pm (noon). If you would like do do more than one course - please ensure you restart before 12:00pm
• Courses close: 2:00pm unless otherwise stated. Please plan and ensure you return to the finish by course closure time.
