Number of years orienteering?
I started orienteering in 2011, so 4.5 years.
How were you introduced to orienteering?
I was introduced to orienteering through Northcross Intermediate in year 7 by doing the Auckland Sprint Series.
Key orienteering achievements to date?
Some of these are 1st Nationals Long 2014 M14, 1st NZSS 2014 long and sprint, 2nd NISS sprint 2014, 1stAKSS Rogaine 2014 and 1st AKSS Individuals 2015, and now being selected for the NZ Schools team.
Current orienteering project or goal?
I’m currently training for the New Zealand Secondary School Nationals, the Scottish 6 Days and the Australian Southern Cross Challenge.
Favourite map and why?
I enjoyed running on Splash Planet Sprint map in Hawkes Bay for NZSS Sprint 2013 even though I didn’t do that well. The area was very complex and technical.
Map you have yet to experience but aspire to orienteer on?
European maps
Orienteering hero?
I don’t have one, but I admire French orienteer Thierry Gueorgiou for the amount of world-class medals he has won.
